The HFO -1234yf gas appeared in the automotive industry further to environmental regulations. The HFO is a substitution refrigerant fluid for the HFC-134a, known for his contribution to the greenhouse effect. While the R-134a has a global warming potential (GWP) of 1430, the 1234-yf GWP is only 4.

With an efficient Time-To-Market strategy, Valeo Service brings the latest O.E. innovations and technologies of starters and alternators to the independent aftermarket (IAM). 

The O.A.P. (also called freewheel pulley) makes the mechanical link between the alternator and the engine output crankshaft pulley. This alternator component is subject to high stress, can rotate up to 12,000 rpm and must be changed every 80.000km.

Valeo exhibits its IAM innovations at Automechanika 2016 taking place at the Messe Frankfurt from 13 – 17 sept.
