Valeo Service UK becomes an IMI Approved Centre

Redditch, UK, 10 March 2016: Valeo Service UK has invested in developing future UK automotive technicians by becoming an Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) Approved Centre.

The world-renowned automotive parts supplier is fully aware of the positive impact development and training schemes have on the future of the aftermarket, and therefore it is committed to providing a reputable training initiative to those within the industry.

IMI is the leading Awarding Organisation for automotive learning and development, working with more than 600 approved centres to recognise and support the skills of over 100,000 young and adult learners each year.

IMI's centre network spreads across the UK and overseas, and includes schools, academies, colleges, employers, vehicle manufacturers and training providers, all utilising the training and development scheme the organisation provides.

Valeo will now offer a wide range of training initiatives, all of which will benefit technicians within the sector, and cover all aspects of motor vehicle repair and maintenance.

Phill Everitt, Valeo Service UK managing director said: “We are delighted to gain such prestigious recognition within the industry as a now certified IMI Approved Centre. It will enable us to offer first-class training to technicians of the future, as well as excellent support and guidance when necessary".

“The facilities at Valeo in Redditch will provide access to the latest technology and equipment for those within the industry. As a multi-specialist in aftermarket products, we intend to translate our OE expertise into our product offering and use our training centre to help enhance the reputation of the entire independent aftermarket".

“It is extremely important we continue to invest in the future of the aftermarket and provide the latest training available".
