Car Air Conditioning Actuators

Air distribution in car air conditioning systems is determined by the system architecture.

Doors and kinematic parts (actuators, levels, cables, central gear, etc.) direct air to the main outlets.

Some car HVACs have separated air distribution to enable different passenger and driver settings:

• Manual air conditioning systems use actuators inside the system to control air distribution to the head, lap, or feet. Cables in the control panel actuate the flaps
• Automatic air conditioning systems apply the same principle but use motor-driven mixing actuators to adapt air distribution to current cabin conditions and system usage history
